The A. B. Farquhar Company, Ltd. was founded in 1858 (incorporated 1889) by Arthur B. Farquhar in York, Pennsylvania, succeeding the business of E. E. Dingee & Company. Its industry was agricultural implements and steam traction engines and its headquarters remained in York, Pennsylvania. In January 1952, the firm was acquired by the Oliver Corporation. The plant at York was closed down in late-1960.
