The American Steel Products Company was founded in 1908 (incorporated April 1911) by Theodore Schell in Macomb, Illinois. Its industry was chicken brooders and poultry equipment and its place of operation remained in Macomb, Illinois. In February 1930, the firm was merged with the Globe Stove & Range Company, forming the Globe-American Corporation.
