B. Kuppenheimer & Company, also known as The House of Kuppenheimer, was founded in 1876 by Bernard Kuppenheimer in Chicago, Illinois. Its industry was clothing and its headquarters were in Chicago, Illinois (1876-1972) and Norcross, Georgia (1972-1997). In 1963, the firm was acquired by Louis Roth & Company. It was sold to Hart Schaffner & Marx in 1982 and to the Kupp Acquisition Corporation in 1995. In 1997, it was acquired by Tailored Brands, Inc. and its remaining stores were shut down.
