The Big Ben Manufacturing Company was founded in 1908 by Robert W. Baker in Jellico, Tennessee as a subsidiary of the Jellico Grocery Company. Its industry was clothing and its headquarters were in Jellico, Tennessee (1908-1918) and Middlesboro, Kentucky (1918-1926). It merged with the Blue Bell Overall Company in 1926, retaining the latter name and headquarters.
