The Black Satin Polish Company was founded on June 27, 1902 by C. A. Maydwell, John F. Meyers, J. Appleby, F. A. Stephens, and L. L. Stephens in Pierre, South Dakota. Its industry was stove polish and its headquarters were in New York City, New York. The company shut down in 1905.
