The Bower Manufacturing Company, Inc. was founded in early-1920 by Frank Bower in Fowler, Indiana. Its industry was auto trailers (later birdhouses) and its headquarters was in Fowler, Indiana (1920-1938) and in Goshen, Indiana (1938-2001). The company was acquired by the newly formed Van Briggle Manufacturing Company in 1920. The company was sold to the Goshen Rubber Company in 1985.
