The Carney Company, Inc. was founded in 1883 (incorporated September 17, 1914) by J. R. Beatty and F. N. Merrill in Mankato, Minnesota. Its industry was building products and its headquarters remained in Mankato, Minnesota. The company was purchased by Harry E. Carney, Sr. in 1905, although he and his father (Patrick H. Carney) had been operating the cement works since 1890. The company dissolved in 1991.
