The Clay Equipment Corporation was founded on May 17, 1900 by H. H. Clay in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Its industry was agricultural products and its headquarters remained in Cedar Falls, Iowa. In 1995, the company was acquired by the Top Air Manufacturing Company. Between 1997 and 2001, the Freeman Company acquired segments and product lines of Clay Equipment, and continues to market them today.
