
The Coleman Lamp Company was founded in 1900 by William C. Coleman in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Its industry is sporting/outdoor gear and its headquarters is in Wichita, Kansas. In 1989, the company was auctioned off to MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, Inc. The Sunbeam Corporation purchased Coleman in 1998. Since 2004, it has been owned by the Jarden Corporation.
