The Columbia Guano Company was founded on November 1, 1894 (incorporated October 1895) by F. S. Royster and C. F. Burroughs in Norfolk, Virginia. Its industry was tobacco chemicals and fertilizers and its headquarters remained in Norfolk, Virginia. During its existence it was closely affiliated with the F. S. Royster Guano Company. In August 1900 the company was acquired by the American Agricultural Chemical Company. The firm ceased operations by 1922.
