The Consolidated Safety Pin Company was founded in 1880 by Joel Jenkins and G. P. Farmer in New York City, New York. Its industry was safety pins and its headquarters were in New York City, New York (1861-1890), Bloomfield, New Jersey (1890-1932), and Waterbury, Connecticut (1932-1937). The company was acquired by the Chase Brass & Copper Company in 1933. On January 25, 1937, the firm was acquired by the Risdon Manufacturing Company.
