The Crane Company, or Crane Co., was founded on July 4, 1855 by Richard T. Crane in Chicago, Illinois. Its industry is industrial products (previously bathroom fixtures) and its headquarters were in Chicago, Illinois (1855-1960), New York City, New York (1960-1992) and Stamford, Connecticut (1992-present). Its bathroom fixtures operations were sold to American Standard, Inc. in 1990, becoming Crane Plumbing, LLC.
