Curtis Brothers & Company, doing business as Curtis Woodwork, was founded in 1866 (incorporated June 1, 1888) by Charles F. Curtis and W. G. Hemingway in Clinton, Iowa. Its industry was doors, windows and interior trim and its headquarters remained in Clinton, Iowa. Curtis Companies, Inc. was formed in 1911 as a holding company. The company shut down in 1966.
