The Cyclone Fence Company was founded in 1891 by brothers John and Cornelius Lane in Holly, Michigan. Its industry was fencing, gates and related products and its headquarters were in Holly, Michigan (1891-1906), Waukegan, Illinois (1906-1970) and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1970-1983). It was acquired by the United States Steel Corporation in 1924. The division was sold to Gregory Galvanizing & Metal Processing Inc. in July 1983.
