The Cyclone Seeder Company was founded in 1868 by Samuel S. Speicher in Urbana, Indiana. Its industry was seeding and fertilizer spreaders and its headquarters were in Urbana, Indiana (1868-1977) and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (1977-1980). In 1977, the company was acquired by the Jackson Manufacturing Company. Both firms were purchased by Allegheny Ludlum Industries, Inc. in December 1980. Allegheny Ludlum sold cyclone seeders for a few years before the product line was dropped.
