The DeWalt Products Company was founded in December 1924 by Raymond E. DeWalt in Leola, Pennsylvania. Its industry is tools and its headquarters were in Leola, Pennsylvania (1924-1929), Lancaster, Pennsylvania (1929-1984), Hampstead, Maryland (1984-2000?) and Towson, Maryland (2000?-present). In 1949, the company was acquired by the American Machine & Foundry Company. In 1960, it was sold to the Black & Decker Manufacturing Company.
