
The Dixie Cup Company was founded on December 15th, 1910 by Lawrence Luellen and Hugh Moore in Maine although it was headquartered in New York City, New York. Its industry is paper products and its headquarters is in Atlanta, Georgia. The headquarters changed to Easton, Pennsylvania in 1921.
Its predecessors include the American Water Supply Company of New England (1908), American Water Supply Company of New York (1908), American Water Supply Company of New Jersey (1909) and Public Vendor Cup Company (1909). The company merged with the Vortex Cup Company in 1936 also changing its headquarters to Chicago, Illinois. It merged with the American Can Company in 1957.
