The B. F. Goodrich Company was founded in 1870 by Benjamin F. Goodrich in Akron, Ohio. Its industry was aerospace and its headquarters was in Charlotte, North Carolina. It merged with the Uniroyal Tire Company in 1986. It was bought out by the United Technologies Corporation in 2011, and went defunct in 2012.
