The Follansbee Brothers Company was founded in 1812 by James Park, Jr. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Its industry was steel and its headquarters were in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1812-1954) and Follansbee, West Virginia (1954-2012). In 1954, Follansbee Steel was purchased by Frederick W. Richmond who subsequently sold its assets to multiple interests including the Louis Berkman Company which operated the Follansbee plant until its closure in 2012.
