The General Time Instruments Corporation was founded on November 12, 1930 from a merger between the Seth Thomas Clock Company and Western Clock Company in Thomaston, Connecticut. It was a holding company and was based out of Norcross, Georgia. It was acquired by Talley Industries in 1968. It went defunct in 2001 and Salton, Inc. acquired its brands.
