The Henry Vogt Machine Company was founded in 1880 (incorporated 1890) by Henry H. Sulzer and M. Vogt in Louisville, Kentucky. Its industry is forged steel valves and its headquarters were in Louisville, Kentucky (1878-2018) and Stafford, Texas (2018-present). Most of the company's manufacturing operations were sold in the 1990s and early-2000s and the company filed for bankruptcy in September 2012. In July 2017, the firm was acquired by the OMB Valves Group of Italy.
