The Herrick Refrigerator Company was founded in 1890 (incorporated 1891) by William C. Herrick, Herbert Northey and Silas Northey in Waterloo, Iowa. Its industry was refrigerators and its headquarters remained in Waterloo, Iowa. In 1974, the company was sold to Leichner Industries, Inc. and the Coast South Investment Corporation. The next year, the Herrick plant burned down from arson and the company shut down.
