The Honeywell Heating Specialties Company was founded in 1906 by Mark C. Honeywell in Wabash, Indiana. Its industry is commercial/consumer products and its headquarters were in Wabash, Indiana (1906-1927), Minneapolis, Minnesota (1927-1999), Morristown, New Jersey (1999-2015), Morris Plains, New Jersey (2015-2019) and Charlotte, North Carolina (2019-present).

The company merged with the Minneapolis Heat Regulator Company in 1927. It was acquired by AlliedSignal, Inc. in 1999, who despite being twice the size of Honeywell, decided to change their identity and name to Honeywell International because of its superior brand recognition.
