The Majestic Company was founded in 1894 by James M. Triggs in Morenci, Michigan. Its industry is furnaces (originally windows) and its headquarters were in Morenci, Michigan (1894-1907), Huntington, Indiana (1907-2000) and Mississauga, Ontario (2000-present).

It was merged with the American Standard Corporation in 1969. In 1986, the company was acquired by local management and other investors in a leveraged buy-out. The CFM Corporation purchased Majestic in 1995. Between 2005 and 2008, the company was owned by Teacher's Private Capital before its acquisition by the Monessen Hearth Systems Company. By 2011, the 'Majestic' name had solely became a brand name and it was purchased by Hearth & Home Technologies, Inc. in 2014.
