The Mallory Hat Company, Inc. was founded in 1823 by Ezra Mallory, Sr. in Danbury, Connecticut. Its industry was hats and its headquarters were in Danbury, Connecticut (1823-1904) and New York City, New York (1904-1946). In 1946, the company was acquired by the John B. Stetson Company who continued producing "Mallory" branded hats until the closing of the Danbury plant in 1965.
