The Michigan Stove Company was founded in 1872 by Jeremiah Dwyer in Detroit, Michigan. Its industry was heating stoves and its headquarters remained in Detroit, Michigan. It merged with the Detroit Stove Company in 1927 to form the Detroit-Michigan Stove Company. In 1955, the company merged with the Welbilt Stove Company to form the Welbilt Corporation.
