The Nusbaum Chemical Company was founded in the fall of 1881 by Felix Steinberger and Bennett Nusbaum in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Its industry was wood alcohol, acetate of lime and charcoal (originally wholesale and retail grocery) and its headquarters remained in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Its plant was located on the Fuller Brook, a stream 4.5 miles from Bradford. The firm went out of business around 1925, and its land was sold in 1929.
