The Pennsylvania Rubber Company was founded on May 25, 1899 by Herbert DuPay in Erie, Pennsylvania. Its industry is tennis balls (originally including other rubber products) and its headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona (formerly Jeannette, Pennsylvania). It was purchased by the General Tire & Rubber Company in 1945. It was acquired by HEAD, Inc. in 1999.
