The Piqua Wagon Company was founded in 1894 by C. F. Rankin, W. P. Orr, John G. Battelle, L. A. Cobb, R. G. Beatty, John A. McVoy, G. M. Bard, J. G. Talmage and G. E. Byrkit in Piqua, Ohio. Its industry involved manufacturing a line of business and farm wagons and its place of operation remained in Piqua, Ohio on Chestnut Street. On January 31, 1900, the company's plant was completely destroyed by fire and so the firm relocated its operations to Bradley, Illinois by April under the name Bradley Buggy Company.
