American Builder (November 1923)

The Rowe Manufacturing Company was founded in 1908 by Alvin V. Rowe in Galesburg, Illinois. Its industry was garage doors and farm equipment and its headquarters remained in Galesburg, Illinois. In 1973, the company was sold to the Frantz Manufacturing Company. The rights to the "Ro-Ho" Gardener tool and Rowe's overhead door retail business were sold back to Bruce Rowe in 1975 (grandson of Rowe's founder) who established Rowe Enterprises, Inc. The original Rowe Manufacturing Company was dissolved in 1988. Rowe Enterprises manufactured "Ro-Ho" Gardeners until 1990, and it is assumed the company went under around this time.
