The Southwest Cotton Company was founded on January 30, 1917 by Paul W. Litchfield in Phoenix, Arizona as a subsidiary of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Its industry was cotton and its headquarters were in Phoenix, Arizona (1916-1928) and Litchfield Park, Arizona (1928-1986). In late-1986 the company and property were sold to the SunCor Development Company, a subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital Corporation.
