The Union Furniture Company was founded on February 15, 1876 (reorganized in 1894) by Pehr A. Peterson, John Erlander, Jonas Peters, John G. Parson, and James Sundquist in Rockford, Illinois. Its industry was library and dining room furniture and its headquarters remained in Rockford, Illinois. It was purchased by David V. Neilson in April 1927. The company ceased operations by 1933. The plant was purchased by the National Lock Company in 1946.
