
The United States Playing Card Company was founded in January 1867 by A. O. Russell, Robert J. Morgan, James M. Armstrong, and John F. Robinson Jr. in Cincinnati, Ohio. Its industry is playing cards and its headquarters are in Erlanger, Kentucky. Throughout the years the company has gone through ownership changes: Diamond International Corporation in 1969, Jesup & Lamont in 1982, Frontenac in 1989, Ronald Rule in 1994, and the Jarden Corporation in 2004. In 1994, Bicycle Holding Inc. was established as a corporate umbrella company.
The company had a Canadian branch located in Windsor, Ontario.
