The United States Steel Corporation was founded on February 25, 1901 by a merger between the Carnegie Steel Company, Federal Steel Company, and National Steel Company in New York City, New York. Its industry is steel and its headquarters is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (since 1970).
