The Willard Storage Battery Company was founded in 1896 by Theodore A. Willard in Cleveland, Ohio. Its industry was batteries and its headquarters remained in Cleveland, Ohio. It was acquired by the Electric Storage Battery Company in 1952 and it closed down in the 1960s. The Willard name is still used by the Powertech Group for its batteries.
