The Wissler Instrument Company was founded in 1891 by Adolph Wissler after acquiring the mathematical instrument business of Blattner & Adam. Its industry was surveying instruments and its headquarters were in St. Louis, Missouri. The company was acquired by the David White Company in 1927 and continued in operation until 1944.
